I was born to help others create atmosphere and elevate the mood

My name is Maria. I was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic but was raised in the States from a very early age! Miami, the city I consider my hometown, taught me much about aesthetics and authentic Latin hospitality. After graduating with a Marketing degree from Nova Southeastern University in Davie, FL in 2013, I found temporary homes in Houston, Philadelphia, St Louis, and Portland, OR before returning to Houston for a second time—this time permanently.

After embarking on an Interior Design certification and staring my own short-term rentals, The Treehouse Inn and Montrose Creative Quarters, I decided to start offering interior design and short-term rental hospitality management services here in Houston, virtually, and on location!

In regard to interior design and decorating, I work specifically with property owners and investors to create uniquely branded, themed, and cohesive concepts that make impactful impressions on the viewer to encourage an emotional reaction to the design and space!

Exploring the world is my greatest thrill— I’ve been to 50 countries and counting! I’ve traveled in every class and style, and knew I encountered something special when I started using Airbnb as a traveler in 2013. In Airbnb’s early days, finding individuals who hosted out of the love of hospitality was easy! Though as time passed and property managers invaded the platform, things started to change. All of a sudden, chores were to be completed before checkout, all the while being charged a cleaning fee.

Ruby Girl Hospitality is my response to the current trend of short-term rental owners and managers who have lost focus on the sacredness of travel and time off. My hospitality management company prioritizes the quality of the engagement over inconsistent service and rushed turnaround. I work with property managers who want to be different and take pride in the experience they provide their paying guests.

I spend much of my free time planning travel and seeking inspiration. Please be so kind as to send a me short description about you and how you’d like to engage my services, and I’ll reach back at my earliest convenience. Please keep in mind I am not accepting new projects until November 2025.
